Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious eateries within New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up within New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute during my time in The Culinary Institute of America she says. I couldn't learn or do enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a time in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. When she was in Italy the chef gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian cuisine. It made a huge influence on her perception of food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to talk about her love of food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to have the opportunity to share this passion for food with other people.
